Mill Street/River Mill Park

 

Join the Town of Occoquan’s family-friendly Occoquan Costume Parade & Contest on Saturday, October 31 from 10:00am-12:00pm. Starting at 10:00am, Town of Occoquan Mayor Earnie Porta (aka Iron Man) will lead the parade down Mill Street to River Mill Park, where costume judging will take place. Judging categories include: cutest, scariest, funniest, most original, and family/group.

 

Parade participants will line up near the Riverwalk Shops at 125 Mill Street by 10:00am. The 100 through 400 blocks of Mill Street will be briefly closed on a rolling basis between 10:00-10:30am.

 

There is no fee to participate. This event is open to everyone!​ No advance registration is necessary.

Watch the parade!

 

The community is invited to line Mill Street and watch all the spooky and adorable characters parade their way down to River Mill Park. The parade starts shortly after 10:00am, with rolling street closures from 125 Mill Street to 458 Mill Street. We recommend lining up to watch on the south side of Mill Street between the Post Office and Town Hall for the best view.

After the parade, trick-or-treat your way back through town! Participating businesses will have goodies for our favorite kid visitors. Look for the door flyer on participating businesses.
