Occoquan business owner hub

Town of Occoquan businesses are invited to participate in the annual Shop, Dine & Win! Contest, taking place November 21-December 6, 2026.

The purpose of this event is to encourage visitors to shop with Town of Occoquan businesses during the holidays AND (if they win) use gift certificates in the down season (Jan - March). Many businesses have reported gaining new customers who didn't know about them, because they received a gift certificate or because they saw them in the promotions/on the map of the entry form.

To participate, each Occoquan business agrees to donate a minimum of TWO (2) $25 gift certificate to your business (valid for winners through March 31, 2027). Four gift certificates from different businesses are combined to create a $100 total value prize, per winner. The number of total prizes is based on how many businesses participate.

HOW IT WORKS:

• Visitors spend $10+ at six (6) participating businesses between Sat, Nov. 21 (Annual Tree Lighting) and Sun, Dec. 6 (Holiday Artisan Market) to enter for their chance to win.

• Participating businesses will be given entry forms to distribute to customers. 

• Businesses with stamp/sticker/initial the customers form AND write their business name when people make a qualifying purchase.

• Forms are collected at a North Pole mailbox that is placed outside of Town Hall, along with signage.

• Winners are announced by Dec. 9, 2026 and their gift certificates are mailed directly to them.

NEW THIS YEAR:

• To simplify things, we are no longer providing stamps. Please use your own stamp, initial the sheet, or using a small sticker or other identifying mark.

• To avoid ending up with odd numbers of gift certifcates, we have simplified to donations to be 2 (for a total value of $50 donated) or 4 (for a total value of $100 donated).
