Our featured artist this month is Zoe Jarvis. Zoe's artistry includes both hand-cut paper art and large-scale colored pencil drawings. Her cut paper pieces often feature small details that one cannot imagine cutting by hand.

Save the date for a very special event at Mill St. Draft Garden on October 4th. "Hope on Tap" is a fundraising event for Ewing Sarcoma. In partnership with @Vivianstrong12 we hope to bring awareness to this terrible cancer.

After the annual Community Costume Parade & Contest, making your way through town for trick-or-treating at select businesses, PLUS a chance to win a Halloween themed gift basket when you vote for your favorite decor and staff costume. Voting ballots will be available at participating businesses all day on Saturday, October 25. Drop completed ballots off at Town Hall (314 Mill Street, Occoquan, VA) by 8:00pm on Saturday, October 25.

Head to River Mill Park for a movie under the stars! On-site freshly popped popcorn, candy, snacks, water, soda, beer/wine, and more will be sold as a fundraiser for 501c3 nonprofit, Visit Occoquan. Tickets are $5, ages 8 & under are free.

Join the Town of Occoquan’s family-friendly Occoquan Costume Parade & Contest on Saturday, October 25 from 10:00am-12:00pm. Starting at 10:00am, Town of Occoquan Mayor Earnie Porta (aka Iron Man) will lead the parade down Mill Street to River Mill Park, where costume judging will take place. Judging categories include: cutest, scariest, funniest, most original, and family/group. After the event concludes in the park, families are encouraged to trick-or-treat their way back through the businesses in historic downtown Occoquan.
