Historic Occoquan has a charming, riverfront downtown with 80+ locally owned shops, restaurants, and galleries. Located just 1 mile from I-95, Occoquan is a convenient place to stretch your legs, shop the stores, and grab a great meal.

Madigan's Waterfront (201 Mill Street): Waterfront dining for brunch, lunch, and dinner. Seafood and American cuisine. History

The Mill House Museum (413 Mill Street) is a small, yet impactful array of local history. Operated by the Occoquan historical Society, the museum is open daily (closed Wednesdays) from 11am-4pm.

River Mill Park

River Mill Park (458 Mill Street) is the largest of our town parks and can accommodate several hundred people. Picnicking is permitted (alcohol, open flames, and glass bottles are not). This park has accessible public restrooms and views of the river. Park rentals are available.

Public restrooms are located at River Mill Park (458 Mill Street) and at Mill Street Draft Garden (200 Mill Street).

Occoquan is a small, historic town with several one-way streets and narrow turns. Larger coaches are recommended to enter town from Route 123 via Riverview Lane and Poplar Lane. Dropping off under the Rt. 123 bridge, in Parking Lot A, is recommended, as easy turn around space is available.

All buses and coaches should check in with Occoquan Police upon arrival, to confirm parking availabiliy for the day. Call 571-492-7274. During peak times (weekends, holidays, and events), bus parking in town may not be able to be accommodated. 0.5 miles from town is a large commuter lot where buses can generally be staged while tours are in Occoquan, should parking in town not be available.
