The Town of Occoquan is looking for artisan and handmade vendors for the spring Artisan Markets on the following weekends:
May 8 & 9
June 5 & 6
July 10 & 11
The Artisan Markets will be hosted in River Mill Park in beautiful Occoquan, Virginia and will occur on three separate weekends. Each sleek and distinct arts and crafts market will be individually curated from the work of juried artisans.
These markets are a new way to fill a two-part need that developed this past year:
ONE - an avenue for vendors who need to get back to business, and
TWO - a means for patrons looking to do outdoor activities that are satisfying but safe.
Occoquan has been experiencing above average tourism rates during the pandemic precisely because our walkable town is open and small businesses are able to operate in a safe manner.
The Town hopes to move back to our original two-day Arts & Crafts Show in the fall, but if circumstances don’t allow it, we believe the model of the Artisan Market will work temporarily.

The health and well-being of our residents, patrons and businesses and local community is paramount. The Town of Occoquan will continue to closely monitor information from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and local health and government authorities as the fall progresses, to guide decisions about future Town events.
