November Events in Occoquan

Autumn is in full swing and so are preparations for the holidays! Here are a few not-to-miss events coming up:

Glory Be Holiday Open House - Join Glory Be as they kick off the holiday season Fri, Nov 7th (10-5), Sat 8th (10-5) and Sun 9th (12-5). Enjoy festive giveaways and get a jump on gift and home decor shopping.

Annual Tree Lighting - Join us in front of Town Hall (314 Mill St, Occoquan, VA) for our annual tree lighting on Saturday, November 22 at 6pm. Mayor Earnie Porta will officiate this time honored tradition, as Occoquan residents and visitors gather to kick off the holiday season. Plus, most shops will be open until 8pm or later for extra holiday shopping time! Free shuttle service will be provided from 1-9pm.

Glass Holiday Whimsy - Create a fun glass holiday Whimsy with artist Maureen Storey on Nov. 29 or Nov. 30 at 10am! No experience needed! Supplies included. Pick up your finished Whimsy at the Gallery after she fires it in her home studio. $40 Register at: maureen@storeyweaverdesignsinglass.com

Gallery Features

Pat Blair is the artist of the month at Artists' Undertaking Gallery. Pat highlights her graceful calligraphy with beautiful watercolor accents. After serving three US Presidents as the Director of the Calligraphy Office, she now displays her art here right here in Occoquan!

Karin Sebolka is the featured artist at The Loft Gallery from Nov. 4-30. Karin's exhibit "Memories in Watercolor"features nature and cultures of countries Karin has lived and visited, which inspired her to paint these watercolors. Head to the Meet the Artist Reception on November 8 from 1-4pm.

ART Painting Class - Join Laura Jones Fine Art Gallery for oil painting class weekly at the same time and day, either Thursday evenings 6:00-7:30pm or Friday afternoons. Learn basic skills in our new studio overlooking the Occoquan River. Supplies included. Ages 16+.
